There is no better way to see out the old year than with a crisp winter’s day in the countryside, and we are lucky enough to have one of the region’s best events right on our doorstep.
On Wednesday, 31st December, the Thurlow Hunt Point-to-Point returns to the Horseheath Racecourse. It is always a highlight of the festive calendar, bringing a fantastic atmosphere, thrilling steeplechasing, and a great gathering of the local community before the evening celebrations begin.
The Event Details
What to Expect: Alongside the six scheduled races, there will be trade stands, a fun dog show, and plenty of holiday cheer.
First Race: 11:30 am
Admission: Adults £15 (Cash Only), accompanied under 16s go free.

We have special opening hours for New Year’s Eve, so you can join us for a hearty brunch or a late lunch:
- Food Served: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Bar Open: 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Why not start your day with us from 10 am before heading over for the 11:30 am start? Or, once the racing is done, come and thaw out by our fires with a drink and a delicious meal before heading home to ring in the New Year.
