Our Food At The Old Red Lion

At The Old Red Lion, we have earned a well-deserved reputation for our excellent restaurant. Our menu changes seasonally, with all dishes freshly prepared to order in the kitchen using high-quality, local ingredients.

Our Restaurant

Our comfortable and airy restaurant seats up to 50 diners, blending modern and traditional décor. The space features Yorkshire stone floors, log burners, a lit faux green wall, and a log wall incorporating 13 different tree species, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Our bar area, decorated to the same high standard, includes a large open fire and a flat-screen TV for sports events.

Our menu changes regularly, so please enquire about our latest offerings. You can view a sample menu below. If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Every Sunday, we serve our famous plated roasts, along with other options available on our Sunday menu.

The Menu

All our dishes are home-made and cooked to order, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We are proud to support local farmers and producers.

Vegan Choices

Our menu includes a range of vegetarian and vegan options, with starters, main courses, and desserts designed to cater to all tastes.

Children

Children are welcome in our main restaurant. Please check out our Children’s Menu. We kindly ask that children remain seated during their visit to ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests.

In 'the middle of nowhere', this stylish Inn is just wonderful.
Lovely staff, good drinks, nice gin collection, and just superb food.

Stayed here on business for six nights, I chose the Old Red Lion Inn because of its quiet country location.  Other plus points it offers are an onsite restaurant, which is very good and free parking.
